CANCUN, Mexico – A travel website is looking to fill a "Cancun Experience Officer" position that sounds way too good to be true.

According to a job posting on Cancun.com, the group is looking for someone who will stay in luxury resorts and hotels in Cancun for 6 months, chronicling their experiences in videos and articles.

"We're looking for brand ambassador who can showcase the warmth, wonder and essence of Cancun as one of the world's premier vacation destinations," the website states.

According to the job description, the 6-month gig pays $10,000 a month and offers the promise of paid experiences including swimming with whale sharks, exploring the jungle and seeing the ancient ruins.

The job runs from March to August 2018 and requires no former experience. Applicants must be able to speak and write in English.

Applicants are required to make a video that is under a minute long that answers the question why they are the best candidate for the job.
