Scorpions defeats AC/DC in championship round of Heavy Metal Madness Bracket

SAN ANTONIO – After six weeks of jamming and voting, San Antonio heavy metal fans have decided which band is the best of all time.

The No. 18-seeded Scorpions have stung their way to victory in the Heavy Metal Madness Bracket on KSAT.com, defeating No. 4-seeded AC/DC by a 73% to 27% margin.

The Scorpions rocked the competition "Like a Hurricane" week after week in the bracket.

The German rock band opened the bracket by crushing No. 47-seeded Ratt 86% to 14%.

The second round is when the Scorpions began their strings of upsets, with No. 15-seeded Megadeath losing by 68% to 32% margin.

But the stunner of all stunners occurred in the third round when No. 2-seeded Led Zeppelin fell 52% to 48%.

After that, the Scorpions cruised the rest of the way. 

In the fourth round, Guns N' Roses never stood a chance, falling 61% to 39%.

The next victim was Motley Crue in the fifth round, getting thumped 70% to 30%, followed by AC/DC in the final round.
