Children's book about Selena Quintanilla quickly rising to top of Amazon charts

SAN ANTONIO – The the queen of Tejano's legacy may very well dethrone the queen of the world of wizardry, J.K. Rowling.

A children's book bilingual biography of the life of Selena Quintanilla is rising in the ranks of Amazon's best selling books in Spanish. Selena's competition? "Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal" otherwise known as "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone."

The book, which is a collaborative effort from Patty Rodriguez, Ariana Stein and Citlali Reyes, is scheduled to be released in March and tell's Selena's life story.

"Your little one will learn that Selena s favorite food was pizza and that the most important people in the world to her were her familia and fans," the book synopsis reads.

It's unclear how many pre-orders have been placed, but the book is currently ranked second in Spanish language books and first in Spanish language children's books.
