SAN ANTONIO – Netflix has released the first official trailer for their new animated series "Castlevania", a show based off the popular medieval fantasy video games.
Netflix said the series will follow the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan as he tries to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Dracula.

The show will be written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis and produced by Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar.

The "Castlevania" video games were released on various platforms from the early systems including the Nintendo Entertainment System to the modern consoles. It has also been released for mobile phones.
Season 1 begins streaming on July 7.
