CHARLO, Mont. - It did not take long for a new live camera animal sensation to take hold across the country.

The latest viral craze comes from Charlo, Montana, where hundreds of people are watching and eagerly awaiting as an osprey couple builds a nest in preparation for a new family.

The pair landed in Charlo on April 12 and quickly got to nest prep, bringing in sticks and picking up dirt from a nearby field. After a short courtship, they’ve begun to mate.

Wildlife experts say the pair will eventually produce two to four eggs. The eggs will hatch after an incubation period of 35 to 42 days. Watch the osprey cam below.

April the giraffe giving birth was the last Internet animal sensation. That livestream was viewed nearly 273 million times before she gave birth on April 15. That livestream started Feb. 10.
