The two-day food fest will transform the Pearl Brewery into a carnival for carnivores celebrating animals and the way expert chefs prepare them.

Meatopia was created nearly a decade ago in New York City by TIME magazine food columnist and James Beard Award-winning food writer Josh Ozersky. This year, it became a multi-city event with the addition of London and San Antonio.

This weekend, dozens of world-class chefs will descend upon the Alamo City to cook some of the country's greatest meats over fires, in a vivid haze of live music, cold beer, and aged spirits.

Participating chefs include San Antonio's own Jesse Perez, Andrew Weissman, Johnny Hernandez, Jason Dady, Tim Rattray, Chad Carey, Jeff Balfour, and Jennifer Dobbertin, to name a few. Renowned barbecue chef and New York Times best-selling author Adam Perry Lang will be manning the grill, as well.

The festivities begin Saturday, Nov. 2, with the sold out Beefsteak event. Meatopia proper will follow on Sunday, Nov. 3. Click here for ticket information and a complete schedule of this weekend's events.
