San Antonio restaurant week attracts foodies to fancy restaurants at reasonable prices

Restaurant week in full swing from Jan. 16-28, 2017

SAN ANTONIO – Restaurant week will be a delight to all foodies or people who just like to try new dishes.

This year, dozens of San Antonio area restaurants are participating in the event, which celebrates restaurants across the city and the food that they serve, all at reasonable prices. Nao Latin Gastro Bar in the Pearl is one of the restaurants participating.

Chef instructor Justin Ward said the student-run restaurant will feature different dishes each day of restaurant week.

The restaurants are split into tiers. Tier one restaurants include a $15 lunch and $35 dinner. Tier two restaurants feature a $10 lunch and a $25 dinner.

Restaurant week is hosted by Culinaria, an independent, not-for-profit organization, that describes itself as being committed to promoting the Alamo City as a "premier food and wine destination."

From Jan. 16-28, diners can choose from a list of restaurants, separated into their tier levels. Reservations are not required but recommended.
