Sandwiches at Dignowity Meats become a favorite for many

Flavor Favs: Dignowity Meats

SAN ANTONIO – Shane Reed and Andrew Samia joined forces years ago to create food that showed off their roots. Reed is from Missouri and Samia from the East Coast.

What they come up with is Dignowity Meats at 1701 E. Houston St.

Smoked turkey, pastrami, burnt ends and smoked bologna are all featured on the menu.

The popular spot in Dignowity Hill has been open since 2013 and the sandwiches have grown in popularity.

"We are very blessed," Reed said.

Every sandwich is made fresh to order and you won't be disappointed with the flavors.

"I think all are sandwiches are very savory, you experience a little bit of everything," Reed said.

Just a heads up, if you stop by for dinner don't expect to see the same menu.

"At night we wanted to experiment a little bit and we figured a la cart bbq would be perfect for our setting," Reed said.
