SAN ANTONIO – The closure of a River Walk restaurant is a gain for Chef Jason Dady.

The once-popular Lüke, celebrity chef John Besh's first restaurant outside of New Orleans, closed in February after six years on Houston Street.

Dady will take over the location with his first steakhouse, called Range.

The lunch and dinner menus will showcase world-class beef, Gulf Coast seafood and game dishes like quail.

The popular restauranteur has six other businesses in San Antonio: Tre Trattoria, Shuck Shack, Tre Enoteca, Two Bros. BBQ Market, B&D Ice House, and the Bin Tapas Bar.

Range is expected to open this summer.

Dady can currently be seen on the Food Network’s "Iron Chef Gauntlet."
