Culinaria Wine and Food Festival showcases San Antonio's best chefs

Wine and Food Festival begins Thursday

SAN ANTONIO – The annual Culinaria Wine and Food Festival is back, and this year, organizers said foodies can expect the best San Antonio has to offer.

Every year, the event gets bigger and better, and this year is no exception.

From Thursday through Sunday, there will be tastings, dinners and seminars focusing on different cuisines in San Antonio and Texas.

“There is going to be a lot of live fire, Texas smoky meats and a lot of confluence of culture you expect from San Antonio cuisine,” Culinaria president and CEO Suzanne Taranto Etheredge said.

Proceeds from the festival will benefit culinary students.

“Culinaria as a whole is committed to education,” Etheredge said. “First and foremost for us is always those culinary scholarships to support the CIA, (Culinary Institute of America) and we have an endowment fund.”
