Diverse menu in Southtown restaurant features hot dogs, sausage and corn cups

Flavor Favs: Frank

SAN ANTONIO – Located inside an old Methodist church on 1150 S. Alamo St., Frank opened its doors earlier this year and are inviting all of San Antonio to come and try their food and drinks.

"We wanted to be real careful about respecting the fact that it was a church," owner Daniel Northcutt said.

The diverse menu is an ode to San Antonio and its culture.

Hot dogs, sausage, frito pie and even corn cups can be had at Frank.

"We are all over the board but one thing you'll find synonymous with the Frank brand are encased meats, street food and whiskey and beer," Northcutt said.

Examples of the sausages include gator, rabbit, kangaroo, wild boar and antelope.

We also should mention that the church Frank is in is apparently haunted.

Northcutt tells us guests and staff members have heard, seen or have been touched by ghosts.

"It was quote, unquote the second most haunted place in San Antonio behind the Alamo," Northcutt said.

The haunts shouldn't keep you away from this place. It has a great atmosphere and is well worth the visit.

"All across the world there are places where you gather and it's about celebrating life and eating, hanging out and having fun," Northcutt said.
