San Antonio bakery rolls out pan dulce food truck

Flavor Favs: Panifico Bake Shop

SAN ANTONIO – Located at 602 NW 24th St., Panifico Bake Shop has been a part of the West Side since 2005.

John Miggins and his wife took over the location which was previously another bakery, one that Miggin's mother-in-law used to work for.

"What's great about this place is that all walks of life come here," Miggins said. "We are located on the West Side, but we have people from all over the community."

Every kind of pan dulce imagined is made at Panifico, and every piece is made with high quality ingredients and by hand.

The pan dulce has become so popular that the bake shop will now be offering the treats around town. The "2 Sueet" food truck recently made its debut.

"We said why not do a food truck, take it out to the public wherever we have the biggest response, maybe, at that time, maybe, rather than invest in brick and mortar there," Miggins said.

The truck has already started stopping by at events around town and they look forward to going out into the communities as well.

Panifico Bake Shop is open seven days a week. For more information, click here.
