Free food, free movie screening
SAN ANTONIO – A free showing of a monster movie, a free visit to a San Antonio attraction and free food are part of this week’s Friday Freebies.
San Antonio is kicking off the peak of monarch migration season with a three-day party, where children can help in an art project to build a tree of life out of butterflies.
The Tree of Life event is happening in the Central Games Plaza at Hemisfair’s Yanaguana Garden building from 2-5 p.m. Saturday.
Those looking to visit the Botanical Gardens or Witte Museum can take advantage of the free events with their admission, with several other events happening Saturday.
On 9:30 a.m. Sunday, crowds will start to gather at the Pearl for a free parade and other events.
Santikos is getting spooky with a free showing of “Monster House” at the Silverado Theater.
The film features a group of children who are tasked with saving their neighborhood from a house that’s come to life.
The movie starts at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Mark your calendar for Free Sushi Day on Oct. 26. PF Chang’s will be giving guests one free spicy tuna roll or California roll. Just mention the promotion to your server.
For those who prefer poultry over fish, KFC will be offering a free two-piece meal from 5-9 pm. Oct. 27-31. All you have to do is show up as the colonel at any participating KFC to get your free meal.
