Teen suicide prevention group receives recognition for work

SAN MARCOS, Texas – During the Texas Suicide Prevention Symposium in San Marcos Thursday, the Alamo Area Teen Suicide Prevention Coalition and its teen advisory board received recognition for their work.

Thirteen teenagers from Bexar County committed to a year of service in their community, church, social media, school awareness events, etc.

Each member has some level of exposure to suicide and the mental health challenges.

The group formed in 2015.
