CentroMed celebrates National Health Care Week

Sarah Davidson Clinic provides primary, preventive health care to homeless

SAN ANTONIO – CentroMed is celebrating National Health Care Week at its Haven for Hope location.

Every day, the Sarah Davidson Clinic provides primary and preventive health care to homeless people across San Antonio who may not have access otherwise.

The nonprofit said the goal is to keep adults and children healthy so they can work, go to school and do well in their future.

"At this particular site, we are serving about 5,400 patients and, of course, the vast majority of those are patients that participate in Haven for Hope program," CentroMed president and CEO Ernesto Gomez said.

CentroMed said with the help of the community, it is able to provide health services to more than 71,000 patients across San Antonio and New Braunfels.
