H-E-B preparing for annual Feast of Sharing

Santa will make special appearance

SAN ANTONIO – For the 25th year, H-E-B is gearing up to host its annual Feast of Sharing.

The event is free and open to the community.

This year, the San Antonio-based grocer plans to serve more than 15,000 guests.

The meal will consist of turkey with stuffing and gravy, along with mashed potatoes.

"Our Feast of Sharing is part of our spirit of giving,” H-E-B spokeswoman Julie Bedingfield said. “It’s something that is engraved in us, as a company, and something we look forward to all year long.”

The 25th annual Feast of Sharing takes place this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, located at 900 East Market Street.

In addition to a holiday meal, the day will include live music, free health screenings and flu shots, as well as information on services from local nonprofit organizations.

Santa will also be making a special appearance and will visit with children.
