When doctors told her that her father didn't have long, a Missouri bride moved up her wedding to give him the chance to walk her down the aisle in his final hours.

Crystal Adams of Springfieldwas set to marry fiance Jonathan Harrison next year, but their plans changed when she learned her dad, Curtis, was dying.

My dad has cancer they say is untreatable," she told KOLR.

Crystal couldn't imagine getting married without her father and decided to throw an impromptu wedding as soon as possible so he could be a part of the big day.

She said, Were going to do a wedding today in the room,' saidChristine Mason, a nurse caring for Curtis at Mercy Hospital.

The staff at Mercy Hospital worked together to pull the event off, the first weddingever held in the hospital's chapel.

With donated flowers and a secondhand dress, Crystal got married with her father there to witness it, thanks to ateam of nurses and physical and respiratory therapists, who made sure Curtis could escort his baby girl down the aisle.

"Standing up, for him it's huge," said Mason. "But, I think he had all the right reasons to be walking today."

"Couldnt have asked for a better day," Crystal said.
