KSAT first told viewers about Joey Garcia last month during our Holiday Helper series. He said he never had the nerve to smile because he was too ashamed of his teeth.
Garcia wrote in to our Holiday Helpers asking for orthodontia assistance. KSAT Community and Advanced Smile Care are helping Garcia get the smile he’s always wanted.
“That’s what we do. That’s our mission. My passion is to give people a chance to smile,” said Dr. Jason Kboudi, with Advanced Smile Care. “When you talk about the smile, it affects everything. It affects your self-esteem. It affects how you carry yourself. It affects, a lot of times, how people perceive you.”
Garcia told KSAT Community he always wanted to take a family photo, but never has because he’s been ashamed.
