Oatmeal and Quinoa Breakfast Bowl with Warm Awesome Apple Compote


Prep Time: 10 min.   Cook Time: 20 min.



  • 2 large apples, diced
  • 1 tbsp molasses full flavor
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup(s) steel cut oats
  • 1 pkg. Central Market White and Red Quinoa, quick heat
  • 1 1/2 Tsp ground cinnamon, reserve 1/2 tsp. for apples
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 24 oz H-E-B Fat Free Milk



  • Place apples in saucepan. Add molasses, maple syrup, spices and lemon juice.
  • Cook over medium heat until apples are soft.
  • While apples are cooking, in a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine oats, quinoa, cinnamon, vanilla, and milk. Bring to a simmer.
  • Reduce heat and cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
