BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – A woman is dead and two men are injured after a crash in East Bexar County early Sunday.
The crash happened around 2:15 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 87 and Rakowitz Road.
Bexar County sheriff's deputies say a woman driving a white car attempted to turn at Rakowitz Road, but the driver of an oncoming gray car slammed into her vehicle.
Deputies say the impact killed the woman and critically injured a man riding with her.
The man was taken by medical helicopter to University Hospital.
They say the driver who hit them was also badly injured and taken by EMS to San Antonio Military Medical Center.
Deputies say they don't know what caused the fatal wreck.
They're now investigating whether drugs or alcohol might have been a factor.
