1 injured in La Vernia ISD bus crash

Bus driver runs off road on curve

SAN ANTONIO – A La Vernia Independent School District student suffered a minor injury in a bus crash Tuesday morning.

A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper at the scene said the student suffered a bloody nose in the crash that happened on FM 348 near the Wilson County line at 6:30 a.m.

The bus apparently ran off the road on a curve and landed against a wooden fence.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

It wasn't immediately known how many students were on the bus, but they apparently were taken to school on another bus.
