15-year-old charged with murder in fatal shooting of New Braunfels teen

17-year-old Conrad Kuntz was shot, killed late Saturday night

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – A 15-year-old boy from Marion has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a New Braunfels teen late Saturday night, the New Braunfels Police Department said in a press release on Monday.

Because of the age of the suspect, the police department said his identity will not be released. The teen was taken into custody on Sunday without incident.

The unnamed teen was transported to the Guadalupe County Juvenile Detention Center.

The New Braunfels Police Department said the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests and/or charges may be pending. 

17-year-old Conrad Kuntz was found shot Saturday in the 1500 block of Lahn Road just after 10 p.m. According to a press release, first responders attempted life-saving measures but Kuntz later died.
