SAN ANTONIO – An 18-wheeler was forced off an East Side highway overnight, San Antonio police said Thursday.
The incident occurred just after 11:50 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said an 18-wheeler was headed south on Loop 410 near W.W. White Road when another driver dropped her cell phone, causing her to swerve into the big rig's lane.
The truck driver swerved to avoid hitting the car and ran into a ditch, flipping the big rig.
The truck driver was taken to a local hospital to be checked out.
The driver that caused the crash was not hurt.
