SAN ANTONIO – An 18-year-old man was detained Friday in connection with a threatening social media posting directed at Highlands High School, San Antonio Independent School District spokeswoman Leslie Price said.
District police were alerted to the threat around 11:30 a.m. and detained the man within 15 minutes, Price said.

The man is not enrolled in the district.
The school wasn't placed on lockdown, Price said.
"At no time were students in danger. All students are safe, and school is proceeding with normal operations," Price said.
Parents were notified of the incident by phone, Price said.
