2 hit in officer-involved shooting

SAPD officers responded to disturbance call

SAN ANTONIO – Two people were were hit in a shootout with San Antonio Police early Saturday morning. 

According to police, two officers responded to a disturbance call near in the 100 block of Olga.

When officers arrived a man started shooting and officers returned fire, said police. 

The gunman was shot in his stomach and taken to University Hospital. A woman who was with him was also shot, said police. Investigators are trying to determine whether she was shot by the man or during the exchange of gunfire with police. 

No police officers were shot.
