2 Marshall High students in trouble after performing mock assassination of president-elect

SAN ANTONIO – Two Northside ISD students are facing disciplinary action after they performed a mock assassination of President-elect Donald Trump.

The district said that last Friday, two Marshall High School students surprised their teacher by adding an unexpected twist to their presentation.

The teacher, who had approved each student’s skit prior to their presentations, was shocked and quickly addressed the boys’ inappropriate behavior.

“(The teacher is a) rock-solid educator. This is a former teacher of the year. She is in a leadership position on that campus, certainly a solid educator, and she has the credentials to support that. When that (incident) occurred, she recognized the inappropriateness of that, and she stopped it in its tracks in the classroom,” said Barry Perez, Northside ISD executive director of communications.

The district said both students’ parents were notified and disciplinary action is being handled by Marshall High.
