WATCH: Officer Marcus Trujillo's Timesaver Traffic report

Starting Friday at 10 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m., the frontage lanes of 1604 East, from Trail Crest to Highway 281, will be closed.

Traffic will be detoured to the main lanes of 1604.

Also Friday at 10 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m., the east-bound right lane of 1604 will close from Gold Canyon to Redland.

And on Saturday from at 8 a.m. until Monday at 5 a.m., the southbound lanes of 281 will close from 1604 to Donella.

Traffic will move to the frontage roads -- but twice during the day Saturday, between 10 a.m. and noon and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for an hour, the frontage road will also close so that four, 100-foot-long steel beams can be hoisted into place.

"We've got to pick those up and move them across the frontage road put them into place," said Leroy Alloway, with Alamo RMA. "For the safety of the driving public (and the) safety of our crews, we don't want active traffic moving under these beams being lifted."

During that time, drivers will need to find another way to go.
