Teen arrested in shooting outside Pizza Hut

Jose Navarro jailed; Thomas Gutierrez named suspect in affidavit

A 17-year-old boy was arrested in a shooting that left two other teens wounded.

According to an arrest affidavit, Jose Navarro was the gunman who opened fire on a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old boy outside a Pizza Hut near General McMullen and Thompson Place Tuesday afternoon.

The victims were walking behind the eatery when a car drove up and Navarro, who was a passenger, started shooting, the affidavit stated. The victims survived the shooting.

The affidavit also named Thomas Gutierrez as a suspect in the shooting. As of Monday morning, it didn't appear Gutierrez had been arrested.
