Former Alamo Heights Mules Offensive Coordinator Mike Norment has been named as the football program's new head coach.
The San Antonio high school made the announcement Tuesday morning following a unanimous vote by the Alamo Heights Independent School District's Board of Trustees.

Norment has served AHISD for 16 years as a coach and teacher. He was a member of the coaching staff that led the Mules to their Class 4A Division I championship in 20006.
A reception will be held for staff and the general public on Wednesday at the high school's Oak Room from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
