Car slams into tree, trapping driver

Police: Speed, alcohol possible causes of crash

San Antonio police say alcohol and speed may have been factors in a Tuesday morning accident that sent a woman to the hospital.

The crash happened at about 2 a.m. in the 18000 block of Redland Road near Highway 281.

According to police, a woman was driving west on Redland when she lost control around a curve, went through a fence and crashed into a tree.

It took emergency crews 25 minutes to extract the driver from the car.
