Kids' lamps, Academy pajama pants recalled

Exhaust fans, cordless drills pulled for safety reasons

More than 200,000 children's lounge pants and boxers sold at Academy Sports and Outdoors have been recalled because they don't meet federal flammability standards for children's sleepwear.

The garments by Rigo International Inc. have elastic or fabric waistbands and have various designs on them, including softballs, guitars, bikes, volleyballs, penquins and words like "cheer" or "dance" on them.

Rigo has received one report of a 9-year-old boy who was badly burned after his pants caught fire.

Academy sold them in  Texas from January 2010 to March 2011 for about $8.

Parents can return them to Academy for a refund.

The identification numbers for the recalled pants can be found at www.cpsc.gov.

Lamps recalled

Nearly 300,000 Discovery Kids Animated Marine and Safari Lamps are recalled because they can short-circuit.

The importer, Innovage www.innovage.net  has received three reports of fires.

Several major retailers including Bed Bath and Beyond, JCPenney and Toys "R" Us sold the lamps from June 2010 through March 2012.

Consumers should contact Innovage for a refund.

Drills recalled

Alltrade Tools has recalled nearly 45,000 Kawasaki cordless drills sold at Costco because the trigger switch can pose a burn danger.

The recalled drills are green and white, model 691761. 

Harbor Breeze  xhaust fans sold at Lowe's are recalled due to a fire hazard.

The recall involves plastic bathroom fans with a light and heater and sold at Lowe's from September 2010 through March for about $90.

Consumers should contact the manufacturer, Delta Electronics Donngguan, www.heaterfanrecall.com  to get a free repair.
