17 alleged Zetas accused of 25 slayings arrested


MONTERREY, Mexico – A total of 17 alleged members of the Zetas drug cartel were arrested in Mexico in connection with more than two dozen slayings.

Security officials say the arrests included two women and a minor who are believed to have been working in Guadalupe, Monterrey and Juarez.

The suspects are accused of at least 25 killings between May and June, in addition to the shootings of ten taxi drivers in Guadalupe.

Authorities say they also seized four vehicles, radios and gun belts during the arrests.
