Man charged with after robbery, shooting at NW side apartment

Police say suspect shot victim, stole a laptop


SAN ANTONIO – A suspect's run from the law didn't last long. Police tracked him down and arrested him after a robbery and shooting they say he committed.

The incident happened just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday at an apartment complex in the 1200 block of Bandera.

Investigators say a man had just gotten out of his car when the suspect approached, robbed him of a laptop and then shot him.

Police searched the area and found the suspect a couple of blocks from the shooting scene.

They say the 20 year-old will be charged with aggravated assault.

The victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot to the abdomen.

His condition was not known.
