Watch Midnight Basketball League championship live

SAN ANTONIO – On August 4, NOWCastSA will webcast San Antonio's first-ever Midnight Basketball League Championship game from the Davis-Scott Family YMCA.

The league, which included about 150 young men from 17 to 23, launched June 7 with support from the United Way Eastside Promise Neighborhood, San Antonio Police Athletic League, the San Antonio Police Department, the Davis-Scott Family YMCA and Generations Federal Credit Union.

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus and District 2 Councilwoman Ivy Taylor were on hand for the tip-off and are expected to be at the Championship game.

Throughout the season, teams played on Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m., 10 p.m. and midnight. The two teams who compete in the Championship game will be determined by a single-elimination tournament that wraps up Friday, Aug. 3.

The Championship game will begin at 8:30 p.m., after a presentation ceremony that begins at 8 p.m. The webcast will start at 7:30 p.m. with pre-game interviews.
