Police: Man shot woman after dispute at NE Side complex

Vontay Price, 19, charged with aggravated assault

SAN ANTONIO – A man who allegedly used gunfire to end an argument with a woman is facing a charge of aggravated assault.

San Antonio police arrested Vontay Price, 19, Monday in connection with the June 13 shooting.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that officers were called to the 5300 block of Gawain and found a woman with a gunshot to the leg, and another with a cut from flying shrapnel.

The woman with the gunshot wound told police she had noticed a group of people fighting in the parking lot of her apartment complex and ordered them to leave when they got too close to her car.

The affidavit stated that the woman exchanged words with a man in that group, who then fired five shots in her direction.

A witness at the scene identified Price as the shooter, the affidavit stated.
