Domino's pizza delivery man beaten, robbed during fake order at apartments on Callaghan Road

SAN ANTONIO – A Domino's pizza delivery man was attacked at a Northwest Side apartment complex by a man who claimed to be a customer.

The delivery man showed up at the Valencia Apartments on Callaghan Road around 1 a.m. Wednesday to drop off the pizza, but no one answered the door of the address given to Domino's.

The delivery man said someone appeared in the the breezeway and identified himself as the customer, but demanded money.

The suspect then beat the delivery man and robbed him of $20.

San Antonio police said the delivery man suffered head injuries and was treated by paramedics. He was expected to recover. The suspect fled and remained at-large as 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said the suspect initially asked Domino's if the delivery man had change for a $100 bill when he placed the fake order.
