SAN ANTONIO – A man accused of stealing an expensive ring from a pawn shop has been arrested and investigators say it was because he couldn't resist showing off the stolen jewelry.
According to an arrest affidavit, San Antonio police say 21-year-old Brandin Lugo walked into Cash America Pawn Shop in the 6500 block of San Pedro Avenue in May and asked the clerk to see the ring.
The affidavit stated Lugo then threatened to shoot the clerk and fled with the jewelry.
San Antonio police received a Crime Stoppers tip about Lugo and identified him in surveillance video.
The affidavit stated Lugo had apparently bragged about the robbery and showed off the ring.
