SAN ANTONIO – A 19-year-old man was shot once in the stomach near the Wheatley Courts at Lamar and North Mittman late Thursday night, San Antonio police said.
Investigators said shots were reported just after 11 p.m. and police were told there was a victim lying in an alley.
Officers responded but initially could not find victim. He was located at an apartment complex about 20 minutes later.
San Antonio police said the teen has not been cooperative with the investigation and only said he was outside when someone walked up to him and opened fire without notice.
The victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center and is expected to recover. The suspected shooter remained at-large as of Friday morning.
