2 ejected in suspected DWI crash on Old Highway 90 West

Driver possibly facing DWI charges, passenger seriously injured

SAN ANTONIO – A driver and his passenger were hospitalized early Thursday morning after a suspected DWI crash in the 700 block of West Old Highway 90 near South Callaghan Road.

Police believe the driver, a man in his 40s, was speeding when he clipped a median and lost control of his car. The car struck a utility pole and a building before it came to a stop.

The driver and passenger were both ejected from the vehicle and rushed to University Hospital.

Police said the passenger, a woman in her 40s, was in serious condition.

Police said the driver may have been drunk and could face intoxication assault charges.
