SAN ANTONIO – Police responding to a robbery call instead put an illegal gambling operation out of business Friday night.
Detectives say officers got the call for a robbery in the 1800 block of Rigsby around 9:30 p.m.

When they arrived they didn't find a robbery, but did discover an illegal eight liner operation inside a boarded up house.
The people inside refused to come out, but when they did officers say they found the illegal gaming machines..
At least ten eight liners were found.
Police say they removed the motherboards from those 8 liners, essentially rendering them inoperable.
No one was arrested but police are still investigating.
