Fire investigators aren't sure how the fire started, but they are sure what happened as a result.

Fireworks of all kinds exploded as the fire burned through.

Bottle rockets, aerial fireworks and small exploding firecrackers went off for a couple of hours.

The fire torched large pallets of product inside the fireworks facility and sparked the explosions.

Fire investigators say some company trucks loaded with fireworks also burned.

"That warehouse was stacked from top to bottom," said Michelle Sandoval, a manager at American Chinese Fireworks. "It's just crazy. Every single 18-wheeler trailer over there is packed back to front, top to bottom full of fireworks. I mean there's millions of dollars in there that's literally going up in smoke. It's extremely devastating."

Sandoval said they do make a point to cut down all the grass and brush around the buildings and if they hadn't, she said the fire would have been much worse.

As of Saturday evening, it was not clear what started the fire.

The warehouse is adjacent to a fireworks store at the intersection of Hwy. 181 and Business 181 in Floresville.

The fire did not spread to the store, but law enforcement had to cut off some traffic in the area as thick smoke from that fire gushed from the warehouse,

Fire crews were waiting at the fire scene to begin their investigation while the fireworks explosions continued.
