Latest Facebook scam: 2 free Southwest Airlines tickets

Airline says it's working to 'sqash' scam

A bogus offer for two free Southwest Airlines tickets is landing in newsfeeds all over Facebook.

The Dallas-based airline said it is working to "squash" the scam.

When people click on the offer, the scammers can they hijack that person's Facebook account.  Their account then posts the offer, often notifying their "friends" that they've been tagged in a photo.

The scam, one that's made the rounds a couple of times in the past year, is an attempt to trick people out of their personal information.

Southwest urged anyone who clicked on the link to change their Facebook password and check their Apps for any unwanted new ones.

Recalls

Million Dollar Baby recalled 18,000  children's four-drawer dressers after reports that a toddler in Oklahoma and another in California died.

When children climb on an open dresser drawer, the dresser may tip over and fall on them.

The recall involves the Emily and Ryan models sold as part of the Da Vinci furniture collection.  The dressers were sold at JC Penney, Amazon.com, BabiesRUs.com and other retailers.

The dressers met standards when first produced, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission www.cpsc.gov, but now dressers must come with tip-over restraints that attach to walls.

Consumers should contact the company www.themdbfamily.com/safety2 to get a retrofit kit.

Nearly 120,000 trampolines sold at  Walmart have been recalled. They are the Sportspower BouncePro 14 with the black net enclosure.

In May, 92,000 trampolines with brown netting were recalled because the net can break.  Since that recall, more children have been hurt, including broken bones and back injuries.

Walmart stores sold them from February 2009 through March 2011. Consumer should contact www.sportspowerltd.net for a replacement netting.
