A man was killed after he fell under his friend's truck on the West Side Monday evening, San Antonio police said.
Investigators said 23-year-old Alfredo Ramirez had just been dropped off in front of a home in the 400 block of Southlawn, but reportedly held onto the truck's handle as it started to drive away.

Ramirez fell from the side of the truck, landed underneath and was run over.
Police said Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a friend of Ramirez's, was not expected to be charged as of Monday night.
Police said Ramirez's death appears to be a tragic accident. An investigation into Ramirez's death is ongoing.
The driver told investigators Ramirez had been partying for the past two days.
