Train slams car stuck on railroad tracks

Rear-end wreck pushes vehicle into train's path

Police are investigating a train accident that ended with a car in a ditch.

It happened Sunday about 5 a.m. near Eisenhauer Rd. and I-35.

Police say it started when one car rear-ended another car and pushed it onto the railroad tracks.

A train then crashed into that car, knocking it about 75 feet.

The car landed in a ditch.

Police say the driver got out of the car before the train hit, but the vehicle did sustain heavy damage.
