Two teenagers have been accused of breaking into a police chief's house.
Sugar Land police said Conner Hinton, 17, and Taylor Nuttal, 17, broke into Police Chief Doug Brinkley's home in the 2000 block of Holly Glade Lane about 11:45 a.m. on Feb. 8.

Detectives said the teens forced a back door open and broke part of the police chief's fence.
"When I got there, my door was kicked in and the glass was broken," Brinkley said. "I called police."
Nothing inside the house was taken, investigators said. Brinkley's security system alarm went off when the door was opened and officials suspect that scared the teens.
"I'm pretty confident it was a crime of opportunity. They had no idea I was the chief of police," Brinkley said.
Police said a neighbor spotted the teen's climbing over a fence near her home and gave them descriptions of the suspects. Another resident reported seeing a suspicious car parked in front of her home.
Shortly after the break-in at the chief's home, police spotted the car and arrested Hinton and Nuttal. Both teens have been charged with burglary of a habitation.
"For an active neighborhood such as ours, I would really like to say thank you," Brinkley said. "I wish everyone would step up in instances like this."
