Ceremony honors military on Veterans Day

Vets from WWII, Korea. Vietnam and other wars gather to remember

From World War II to Korea, to Vietnam and Iraq and Afghanistan the veterans came to honor and be honored.

They came to remember those who have served and sacrificed in America's military.

A ceremony Sunday morning at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery marked San Antonio's Veteran's Day events.

Hundreds of veterans, their families and friends gathered for the ceremony.

Many vets wore the uniforms they wore during their service in America's armed services.

For some it had been as much as seven decades since they fought. For others it had been sixty years, fifty years, forty years or twenty. Some still are serving in the armed forces.

Soldiers, marines, airmen and sailors also honored those who died serving the cause of America's freedom.
