A telephone pole was damaged early Saturday morning after a man crashed into it.
The accident happened about 1 a.m. at South Walters and Porter Street.
The driver told police he was trying to get away from someone throwing rocks at his car.
He was taken to Downtown Baptist Hospital with chest injuries.
