Argument leads to cutting, chair assault

San Antonio police: Man hit woman with chair, was then cut with knife

A man and woman were both hospitalized after an argument escalated into violence at a Southeast Side apartment complex.

San Antonio police said the couple began to argue around 3:30 a.m. inside an apartment in the 500 block of Hot Wells.

Police said the man apparently wanted to leave and wanted the woman to go with him.

She refused and the man hit her with chair, investigators said. She then grabbed a knife and cut him in his arm.

He ran from the apartment and was spotted by officers a few blocks away.

Both were taken to Mission Trail Baptist Hospital for treatment. Police have not said if either one will face charges.
