A 13-year-old boy shot Friday night in an attack outside an apartment has died.
Police say the attack happened at a complex in the 500 block of Everest around 8:30 p.m.

Investigators say the teen and his step-brother stood outside when two other men approached and hit the step-brother in the back of the head.
They say he fell to the ground as the suspects continued to assault him.
He told police he heard one gun shot.
The 13 year-old was shot in the head.
EMS took the victim to University Hospital where he died.
Police say the suspects ran from the scene and officers were unable to find them after searching the area.
The name of the 13 year-old had not yet been released.
