San Antonio police said the victim met at least two other men outside a restaurant with the intention to buy drugs.

Police said the suspected dealers robbed the victim instead and opened fire.

One of the suspects fled the scene in a SUV and the other took off in the victim's car.

The driver of the victim's car was then involved in an accident with another car near Loop 410 and Babcock, but fled again, San Antonio police said.

The victim was taken to University Hospital in critical condition. Police have not announced an arrest in connection with the case.
